How to care for the body

hey there today I am sharing how to

travel with medications on an airplane

traveling with medications can be

confusing because there are so many

rules for going through security with

your carry-on bag or your carry-on

suitcase all ages have to travel with

medications some of you are diabetic and
how to travel with liquids or

how to pack your liquids so I'm gonna

walk you through how to travel with

those liquids according to the TSA 3.4

ounces rule and how to pack and store

those as you're going through security

what do you do in the security line with

your liquid medications what you do if

those liquids do not fit in your liquids

bag do you have to have a prescription

with those liquid medicines that you're

traveling with hopefully I will answer

these questions or lead you to the

source for your answers in my video on

how to travel with medications the

number one method to traveling with

medications is to always have them in

your travel bag that will go under your

airplane seat or in the overhead bin now

when you're traveling with a duffel bag

or a backpack or your handbag those are

the items that I'm talking about they're

gonna go on your person into the

airplane if they run out of overhead

space and no one has any space in the

airplane there is no way that that

little bag is going to be checked in the

belly of the airplane last minute your

suitcase always has a chance of being

checked last minute when you get to the

gate because they've run out of space so

I'm talking about traveling with this

kind of bag onto the airplane and I'm

putting it under your seat or in the

overhead bin of their space nowadays it

seems like they are running out of space

for these carry-on suitcases to go in

the overhead bins so last minute before

you board the airplane the gate agents

are saying we have no room folks I'm

sorry we've got three more lines of

people to board the airplane we're going

to have to start checking your suitcases

last minute you don't have time and you

don't want to weigh

the time of the people behind you by

looking in your carry-on suitcase for

those liquid medications that you might

need or your pills that you might need

so keep them in a backpack or your

duffel bag or your carry-on little bag

that will not get checked in the tooth

the belly of the airplane the number two

method of traveling with medications is

to check the TSA gov website it is chock

full of information and I love that they

let you ask a specific question about

your medication or your disability with

an agent I recommend watching this video

on a laptop because some of the pictures

I'm going to show you about the

responses I got from the TSA agent

they're really small to see if you're

watching me on a phone if you do go to

the TSA gov website you have to click

several times and I think it's easier

doing it another way but if you're at

the tsa.gov site you just click in the

top right corner where it says contact

and then you click in the bottom left

where it says customer care and then in

the bottom right you can either call

them or you can tweet or Facebook them a

question and the facebook question is

going to go in your messages section

that's what I recommend doing I

recommend skipping whole website if you

have to ask a question now the website

is great for giving you guidelines and

looking for what you can bring and stuff

like that I made a video on 29 items you

cannot bring through security if you

want to watch that you can click on the

iCard at any time through the video but

if you want to ask a question I

recommend just going to your Facebook

page and in the top blue rectangle or

rectangle area where you can search for

something right ask TSA and that will

take you to not the TSA Facebook page

but the ask TSA Facebook page and hit

send message or ask message that's where

you are going to be able to ask your

question one thing I found out by asking

a TSA agent question in my facebook

Messenger is that they do not check

labels anymore when you do send a

message to the TSA agents give them 20

four to forty eight hours to reply to

your question the number three method of

traveling with liquid medications is

that they do not have to go in your

regular quart sized required liquids bag

that will hold your eye makeup remover

two front toothpaste shampoo your liquid

medications can go in their own bag and

I asked the TSA agent another question

and since so if I am bringing like a six

point eight ounce bottle of robitussin

or children's Tylenol I don't mean I

don't need to have it in the box that

came in I don't have to have it in the

bag that it came in they said it is fine

they do not check that anymore so that

is fantastic but don't be fooled because

if you try to get a regular-sized bottle

of shampoo through airport security even

if it only has two ounces of shampoo in

it it will be confiscated because it is

not a medication it is shampoo
